On July 26, 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued a decision to initiate an anti-circumvention of trade remedies investigation on steel wire/ coil products imported into Vietnam from other countries and territories.This is the first anti-circumvention of trade remedies investigation that Vietnam has conducted. This lawsuit is based on the suspicion of anti-circumvention from the original lawsuit with the case code SG04, after Vietnam applied an official defense against billet and long steel products. imported into Vietnam

Final conclusion
On May 13, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1230 / QD-BCT on the anti-circumvention of trade remedies for wire and coil products imported into Vietnam.The countermeasure against anti-circumvention is applied in the form of additional import tax with the tax rate of 10.9% from May 28, 2019 to the end of March 21, 2020 (if the safeguard measure is head does not renew).
